Breastfeeding advice

My 5 week old will only feed under the arm, he will not feed across the belly as my boob seems 2 smother him as they r big, so i cannot feed him in public i either ave 2 give him a bottle or not go out at all but i then worry that he has 2 much bottles (i give him bottles at night as i like my sleep, he only has two at night).

could you position the breast with your free hand?
if you are holding him with that hand, use a cushion to support him.
as for the public feeding, i used fitting rooms in shops for privacy.
its early days, he will get bigger, less smotherable and a more adept feeder daily.
gosh, its just so hard in the beginning isnt it!
