How much milk to express?

I left 5 ozs of milk for a feed for my 9-week-old baby, but she still seems hungry. Anyone know how much milk a baby of this age should be getting when it's expressed? Couldn't get much more than that out!

My DD2 was in SCBU at birth and they calculated it by- 180mls for every kg of the baby's weight... then divide the total of that amount by the amount of feeds they have in 24hrs and that will be your total.

My DD is currently 3.06kg, so i times that by 180 and that gives me 551, she 'normally' feeds 3 hourly (but misses 2 feeds of that in the night) so i devide that by her 6 feeds and it gives me 92mls per feed... however, that is only what she needs i found my DD was taking 75-90mls when she should have needed around 50mls.... So i'd say always try and give an oz (30mls) more than needed if possible.

I'd just give him as much as he wants. He might be going through a growth spurt. You can't overfeed with bm. I remember my son taking 11oz at about 3 months old at a time. But I would make it up in small amounts so I didn't waste it if it wasn't drunk.
