5 month old suddenly ravenous...

Hi all - my 5 month old has been feeding like a demon for the last 3 days. Every hour and a half to 2 hours (where previously she was about every 2 and a half hours). She's EBF. She's also waking more in the night for the last few nights. Is this is a classic growth spurt stage?

I'm planning on BLW, so keen to wait out the next 3 and a half weeks (not that I'm counting or anything) until she gets to 26 weeks. I guess my question is is this normal?

Thanks Sparkling. Just having one of those days when I feel like I'm doing everything wrong and should have done a dream feed/Gina Ford/4 hourly schedule/etc... and she'd be sleeping through!

Hiya - we all get those!

but realistically it rarely happens mums and babies are sooooo much happier when they go with the flow.
There aren't any medals for a baby that sleeps and feeds 4 hourly

We are humans! - work out how often you have a drink or a bite to eat every day and you'd realise even the grape/cube of dairy milk you popped in while making a cuppa adds up!

My dd2 is almost 6 months and started doing exactly the same about a month ago.......... and still doing it now . I'm also waiting to blw- next week for me!

So basically no advice but you have my sympathy .
