So,

Ive been reading a few threads and following some links but can someone confirm the folling is not true.

  1. Pumping is not and indication of how much bm you have.
  1. If I give formula after bf it does not means ds is not getting enough.

3.My diet only plays a small part in what the quality of my bm is like.

Thanks!

those things are ALL true.

many people successfully breastfed and yet cannoyt pump a drop. it means nothing.

most babies will down a bottle of formula/ebm even after a feed because it's easy. doesn't mean s/he is hungry

your diet plays virtually no part. women in 3rd world countries with very poor diets breastfeed healthy children.
your body provides for your child first, and you second.

1-Nothing is as effective as your baby, so using a pump is no real indication of your supply in my experience!

2-Baby will take enough milk from your breast, there's no need to offer formula. Offering formula could then start to decrease the supply in your breasts as they make milk on a supply and demand basis.

3-That's right! A good diet is obviously preferable but that's so you have the energy to look after yourself & baby!

Hope this helps!
