Bottle Feeding 13 week old - now started crying with feeds

Hi there, I'm new on here so please bear with me.
I have a 13 week old DD, bottle fed, and up till last thursday we were having no problems. Was giving Infacol for wind, taking feeds with not much fuss, and bringing burps fine.

Then all of a sudden she's started crying wildly at the start and during feeds, I don't think its wind as she's bring up all her burps still. Its getting to the point now i'm dreading each feed as it like a battle to get her to take it, and she has to stop after a few slurps for another bawling session. I've changed to a faster flow teat thinking she was getting frustraited, but that does not seem to have worked.

I thought it might have been teething, but i've just read that crying during feed for that only lasts a couple of days, and this has been going on for almost a week....

help!!!!

you could try a variable flow teat instead...

have you changed the formula at all recently?

How long does it take your LO to feed?

Does she have it all in one go or maybe might want to have half the bottle then stop for a break?

Does she do it for every feed?
When DD was small she used to feed fine at night but cried lots in the day iyswim.

Sorry for all the questions just trying to get more info

I would check the teat size - maybe try the next size up.

Sorry - you've tried this!

she's on aptamil, which she loves, and normally takes about 1/2 hour or so iincluding burping to feed.
my B-I-L suggested tryinbg her back on No.1 teats again to see if its that which is upsetting her. That it could have been something else that was making her cry last week. I assumed it was frustraition and changed the teats, and now its too fast.
I'm going to try her back on No.1s and see what happens.
she is normally such a happy little soul and loves her milk and feeds etc.

I've got PND, so whenever something like this happens, I go into panic - what am I doing wrong mode. its proberly something simple, but I just can't work out what it is.

Tamaska my DS is 10 weeks old and does the same for some (2-3) of his feeds each day. He grizzles first because he's hungry, so I feed him, then he seems to cry because of wind, so I wind him, and then he's crying because he wants the bottle back! The whole thing can feel like a bit of a battle sometimes...

Not sure what the answer is but just wanted to say you're not the only one and you have my sympathy! I'm hoping that this is just a phase like most of the other problems we've experienced so far and keep telling myself it will get better as he gets bigger and can take the milk with less drama!

Good luck

Fingers X going back to no.1 teats will work.

Sounds like a good plan

My DD is 15mths old and is still on no. 2 teats and refuses it any faster, so don't go on age range on teats iyswim.

They just want you to buy more
