My friend has said it's a no-no, but there is nothing on the bottle?

Dd is 15mo and fed twice a day.

Hiya. No reason why not at all. You can get specific fish oil capsules with all the Omegas etc., but it's pretty much all the same stuff and will make your BM all the more nourishing. Well done for keeping it up so long. My willpower gave out when DS was 10 months old. x

I think the problem can be excess amounts of vitamin A which is usually high in fish oil as it is fat soluble. You can get special fish oil which is low in vitamin A for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but I think it is more of a problem during pregnancy than during breastfeeding.

It's fine but keep an eye on the vitamin A levels as AM says. Fish oil is fine, fish liver oil high in vitamin A.

If you do take it go for a good brand (eg nordic naturals)- as cold liver oil can be high in mercury which you don't want. It is a case of more expensive = better quality in this case.

Thanks all, I'll give it a go.
