Go on Ebay and get a Lactaline - you can double pump and MN then. I expressed at work 5 days a week for a year with one, and for longer when away for work

popsycal · 17/05/2009 20:06

i cant stand the noise of electric ones!
my little avent hand pump and i are long establuished friends

Yes definitely go for a lactaline AND an expressing bra so you are completely hands free and can type. I exclusively expressed for ds1 for 18 months and got a lot of MNetting under my belt in that time

popsycal · 17/05/2009 20:07

have you never seen the hair bobble hands free trick

ahh lucky you! lol
i hate my medela mini electric too... worth investing in a decent electric one?

TheProvincialLady · 17/05/2009 20:07

The lactaline is much quieter than a mini electric. Quieter than most in fact.

TheProvincialLady · 17/05/2009 20:09

Well since you are such a blooming expert and set in your ways, what are you on here moaning for?

popsycal · 17/05/2009 20:10

lol

will look at the lactaline

we all need to moan at times and hand expressing and typing is like [patting your head and rubbbing your tummy

TheProvincialLady · 17/05/2009 20:12

I did conference calls whilst pumping with the Lactaline, and no one could tell.

I read the hair bobble tip on www.workandpump.com

popsycal · 17/05/2009 20:34

really?

i will def lookup lactaline then

why am i feeling a little funny about a second hand breast pump....

OP posts:
CMOTdibbler · 17/05/2009 21:02

Thing is, that it is all totally sterilisable, or you can buy a new pump head set for the bit that is in contact. They are like the hospital grade pumps

But then I had to express for DS when he was born, and you just got issued with pump sets in SCBU and kept them in your box next to everyone elses - so buying a second hand pump wasn't an issue to me

popsycal · 17/05/2009 21:05

oh yes - i used the hoospital pump for ds1 when he was in scbu without a second thought
