Does anyone know if you can still get Hamish Feeder bottles? I first saw them on the dicovery health programme with Tracy Hogg.

These bottles were special as they had a valve in the teat which stopped milk flow and the only way the baby can get milk is if they ssuck on the teat like a real brest.

Yes - they have changed name, search for Medela Special Needs feeder Originally called the Habermann feeder - they were on Tracy Hogg so assume that's what you mean. Mothercare online stock them, not sure about in store.

But just to add - they are about 3 times the price of normal bottles. Are you having trouble getting your baby to switch between breast and bottle, or are you just looking to buy the best thing in advance? Normal bottles are usually fine

I have one which you are welcome to have as I never managed to get ds2 to drink from them (they were recommended by my HV when I was trying and failing to get ds2 onto bottles). It has only been used a couple of times as I say because ds2 wouldn't drink from it. If you want it then email me your details to academicmumatyahoodotcom

Thanks all just doing research for 1 of our parents but could not think of the name academic mum thanks for the very kind offer but I was researching for a parent who asked me about them. She is unsure about which bottle to have as her first had problems with swallowing and sucking ...
