When can I wear underwired bras again?

I've been breastfeeding for ages and ages now (coming up to 1 year - I didn't even intend to bother with bfing! LOL!) but the feeds have gone right down: it's 1 morning, 1 evening, and usually 1 late afternoon. I stopped expressing at Easter.
Result is my boobs are going down fast! This is good - I had engorgement and fountains until I stopped expressing and my norks were embarrassingly large.
I'm still bfing and will be for, well, dunno really because I don't know how to stop - that's another questio though.
I think I fit into my normal underwired bras now. They are beautiful. Two of them were worn for a month as I got preggers during that month. (Duh!) And they don't have clips.
When can I wear them again?

you should be alright now i reckon
i went back to underwire around a year with ds1 i think, and ds2 is nearly 10 months now and i am tentatively underwired
it makes a difference to your shape, you will be surprised! you can just peel them down as they don't have clips -it's maybe not so elegant, but who said feeding a baby was dignified

Whenever you like .

You need to make sure that the underwires are not pressing on the breast tissue at all as that could potentially cause blocked ducts but if they are properly fitting bras then you won't have a problem. You could probably get the fit checked if you go to a decent bra shop.

You can get underwired nursing bras, if you want to have drop cups, or you can buy the clips separately to convert ordinary bras, as another option.

It can be a bit of a faff without the drop cups because I found I had to undo the whole bra in order for ds2 to feed. I think that probably depends on the style of bra though.

I wore underwired nursing bras from when ds2 was about 4mo and didn;t have any problems.

Thanks - given that I'm only feeding a few times per day, and only one feed is not at night or early morning, I reckon I'll struggle. Could always revert to the clippy numbers if necessary! But would be nice to have normal bras again!
