12.5 months refusing to feed. Is ill. Feeding strike?

I've heard of this in younger babies but not in one this old.

DD2 is 12.5 months. Boob obsessed, feeds several times a day and has only just stopped feeding at night a week ago.

Last 48 hours she's had a temperature with no obvious source, feeling misearable disturbed nights etc. Not eating but is drinking water. Normally she'd be on the boob constantly when feeling like this and for the first 24 hours she was.

However for the past 24 hours she won't latch on, will take boob into her mouth and cry around it, won't latch on.

What's going on? I'm walking around like Jordan, am about to get into the loft to break out the long abandoned pump.

Could it be her teeth? (she doesn't have any yet) Do they sometime stop feeding whilst teething - does it hurt?

Help!

Cant help all that much as I stopped breast feeding way before they were 1, BUT, all of mine (3) stopped eating in the few days before they got their teeth. I got really worried every time (even though i had been through it before!) but after a few days a tooth would appear and it would all make sense. A boob is not much good to chew on if you have sore gums (thank goodness - how painfull would that be), have you given her some calpol and something to chew on, maybe something cold to chew on? What is the water in? maybe she likes chewing on that.

Thank you. Am praying its just her teeth. It does seem like its uncomfortable for her to feed.

Ho hum, pumps away!
