Aptamil Easy Digest

Has anyone trie using this formula instead of the normal Aptamil for colic/ windy babies? What has your experience been? Has it helped with feeding and wind? And also with vomiting? Has it caused any problems when changing back later?

Hi, I tried this with my son but he really wasn't keen on it. I thought it would be good for him as he suffered very badly with silent reflux. In the end we had to see a specialist about the reflux and I told him I'd given him the Easy Digest - he seemed to think it wouldn't help my sons case at all!

We had no problems changing back but he was unhappy whilst on it. Sorry if this doesn't help much but this has been my experience.

i tried it with ds, he had one sip and refused it so the whole tub went in the bin. is your baby old enough for gripe water yet? this worked miracles on ds.

have you tried changing brand? the best formula we had was Hipp, ds loved it and was hardly ever sick or windy on it, and we had tried every brand before we tried hipp.

I swapped my son to cow and Gate Comfort which is similar (in fact made by same company and ingredients look the same so I have a feeling may actually be the same milk but cheaper!) and his wind/colic has improved dramatically. He didn't seem bothered by the swap at all, the only thing was that I had to switch to faster teats as it is quite thick.

The only thing is that at the same time he had been to the cranial osteopath, which hadn't helped up to that point but may have started to work so could have been part of his improvement - I guess I'll never know!
