My fully bf 4.5 month old is a fab breastfeeder and I love it too. I am dreading going back to work next week as she refuses to take my boob milk in a bottle. I only need to leave her for 4 hours but it's still a big worry.I have tried different teats and she still screams blue murder. She will definitely need one milk feed whilst I am away. Have been trying now for 3 weeks in anticipation of this return to work. Any ideas?

Hello,
My baby was ok with the Breastflow bottle.
Some babies will just wait until you're home and make up for it during the evening. Is there any chance someone could bring her to you for a feed?
Good luck

inacat - whoever is looking after your baby can give milk in a cup, holding it to your baby's lips and letting her slurp by tipping it in very gently. Some people use an egg cup, at least to start with.

I agree - in four hours she is going to need something, but she won't need a lot and she can make up for it when you get back

Thanks so much. I will try her with an egg cup or a small cup today. I know she will be ok and she is my fourth girl, so I should be a pro at this by now. Going back to work is hard enough without worrying about all this too. I am going back to teaching so I can't get anyone to bring her to me. Thanksxx
