BF - Good Days & Bad Days

Is it me, or does anyone else seem to lose the ability to bf on some days? I've had a terrible day with my 11-week-old. I just seem to have forgotten how to hold him. Grr! I've spent ages latching and re-latching which I'm sure is very frustrating for him, plus I'm paranoid he hasn't had enough milk. On days like this I'm so preoccupied with his consumption that I don't get anything else done, I get cranky and feel like cracking open the formula.

On good days I try to remember the position I've held him in but it never seems to sink in to my baby brain!

Anyone got a surefire description of how to hold a baby to feed?

I remember this. Just go back to basics: tumty to tummy, nipple to nose, baby has head tilted back so he can come onto the breast at an angle.

I used to do the latch, relatch thing all the time because i was paranoid that DS2 didnt open his mouth wide enough
