i stopped bf my 19 mth old 2 nights ago which has gone surprising easy with no tears from him, we were only down to one feed at night anyway, however my boobs ar now starting to feel engorged, throbby and painful, how long will this last for? Is there anything i can do? Was going to ake some iboprofen before bed. Any suggestions really welcome

It is painful, isn't it. Different people seem to have different experiences and theories about this. In my case it took about a week to calm down. It's good to grin and bear it for a few days to let your body get the message about stopping, but then if it gets bad you can express once to relieve the pressure. If necessary express again a few days later. Expressing like that also helps to prevent mastitis and blocked milk ducts. I never took pain killers, but I don't see why you shouldn't.
