Is a weight blip and feeding slowdown normal at 5 months?

I know there's no such thing as 'normal' and every baby's different but EBF 21wk old DD has always been a very good eater and has put on good amounts of weight every week. I had her weighed this morning and she's put on 3oz in 3 weeks. She also has always been keen to eat and will have several 30 min feeds a day whereas over the last fortnight she's hardly seemed bothered about eating. She's fine otherwise, lots of wet nappies, alert and playful, she's just not eating and obviously not gaining...is this normal?

I started a similar thread to this earlier today - my LO is also 21 weeks, and his weight gain has also slowed. The responses I got suggested that between 4 and 6 months it is normal for EBF babies' weight to plateau, and they also said that the charts in the red book are based on formula babies and that bf babies will usually be lighter. Have a look at the thread if you want a bit more detail

This is really normal - have a look at KellyMom for some info.
