would it be safe to give the occasional bottle of ebm at 16 weeks ?

Ds has started squeeling everytime df has him and i think thats getting him down a bit. ds's a real mummys boy and seems to be looking for a feed (or just a comfort suck) evey time i hold him, he's boob obsessed which is absolutely fine most of the time but is starting to get a bit tiring and i think we might be getting in to a cycle which could be hard to get out of.

I thought about letting df feed him in the evening so i could have some rest and he could have some involvement but i'm worried about it messing things up in the long term.

I know that an occasional bottle at 16 weeks is very very unlikely to damage your supply. If you want to minimise the effects you need to express as the baby is being fed though (this also stops you becoming painfully engorged!)

I don't know of the effects of introducing a regular bottle once a day at 16 weeks - perhaps somebody else will.
