Hi,
My 8mth old daughter has the following:

7:30 8oz bottle
10:30 Cereal or yoghurt with 4oz Bottle or Beaker of juice
13:30 8oz bottle
16:30 Dinner * pudding with 4-7oz of Juice
19:30 8oz bottle

although my HV says this is fine, i think she should be on three meals a day, but she is gaining weight well.

Are you feeding your son lumpy food yet?
My daughter hates the stuff, pukes it up everytime, so still on stage one, but she likes finger food. She's a bit odd i think

I think babies need at least 20oz a day of milk, but not too sure when that is reduced to be honest. So i shall be watching this thread with interest.

not for a while

babies still need at least a pint or more of milk per day until the age of one

DS still has milk at 2.9

yeah, he's on lumpy food. he hasn't got a big appetite but he eats pretty much whatever i offer!

i know there are no hard and fast rules about reducing milk and every baby is different, just wasn't sure if my giving him milk still was supressing his appetite for solids. i read somewhere that they get to a stage where the milk doesn't satisfy them enough and they need more solids!

DS is 7.5 months breastfed but has the same feeds as your LO except that we cut out the mid-morning feed a couple of weeks ago and I offer him water instead. I also offer him water at about 4 in the afternoon (and with meals of course).
