Parisian breastfeeding

Has anyone any experience of breastfeeding in Paris? I'm going with 4mth old DS in May and other websites seem to make it sound like a very hostile place to BF your bebe. Will the French just give me a gallic shrug and ignore me when I feed him, or will they shout "oolala!" and chase me out of the cafe?

I BF all over Paris when DD was 13/12 (including in the middle of the Louvre) - don't recall any funny looks.

(but then I wasn't really paying attention to anyone else!)

Take a sling - Paris is no place for buggies esp if you are going on the Metro, lots don't have lifts or even escalators and no-one seems to offer to help you.

Have a nice time

I breastfed my DD in Paris about a month ago in cafes, parks etc. Absolutely no problems whatsoever! Agree that it is not particularly pushchair friendly but we mainly stuck to the area we were staying in.

Have fun!

I thought this was some new extreme sport [disappointed]
