Hello - I've got one of those Tommee Tippee closer to nature manual pumps and bottles that you sterilise in the microwave.
Sterilised them yesterday, sealed in the (hopefully) airtight box and have used the pump for the first time this morning.
But realise I may have been a dunce and the pump and bottle are no longer sterile. Can anyone give me advice? It's the first time I have ever done this so paranoid I will do something wrong for our six week old mite....

Hi, I may be wrong but if they were sterilized in the airtight box and not removed till you used them this morning I would have thought they would be ok. I used to sterilize breast pump in microwave steam sterilizer then store it back in its bag till I used it again, I didn't sterilize it again before use. hth

Also see other thread above about not sterilizing at all - don't in US and Australia. Being very clean is good but poss no need to sterilize?
