Hiya,

I could really do with some advice- I am bf my 3 week old.

She is doing really well- gaining weight etc. but for about 3 days I have been having nipple pain (just at the 'end')its mainly there between feeding and feeding doesn't actually cause pain-- no cracks or dryness, engorgement or any other problems.

I wonder if anyone has any advice for me- as its good friday I have tried calling my HV but no luck.

Thanks

It sounds like thrush is it like a sharp stabbing pain, im not sure if you can get treatment from the chemist, but bumping for anyhow as someone here will.

Congratulation btw, why not come join us on the March 09 post natal thread here

Thanks for your message- it is a sharp pain but doesn't really hurt if I touch the nipple but is just 'there'.

Hopefully I can buy something from chemist as am away for a week.

If it is not thrush (no experience), would recommend trying some Lansinoh. It was a god send for me for the first few weeks of BF. Good luck!
