Dr Brown bottle users....

Gave up BF last weekend and have been using cartons of aptamil since then. As it's getting pricey I've got a box of powder.... when I had my DD1 (3.2) I made up bottles in advance and put them in the fridge. I'm aware the guidelines have changed but to be honest DD1 was fine and I want to do it the same way - the only difference will be I'll use cartons when I'm out and about.

Anyway I'm using Dr Brown bottles with DD2, I tried to make up a bottle tonight and it splurted out everywhere.... is this to do with the pressure thing? Anyone have any tips to avoid this?

TIA

I put water in, powder then stir with a spoon rather than shaking.

Or you can put the white cap inside the lid, shake then remove.
