Stopping b-feeding at 3.5 weeks

After a long old saga I have made a decision today to stop breastfeeding my ds2. He is only 3.5 weeks and I wondered if anyone knew how you stop? Do you just go to the bottle? Do you phase out the feeds? I don't think that b-feeding is that established so do I wait til I engorge and then just pump it off????
THANKS SO MUCH FOR ANY ADVICE

Well i think pumping it off completely will send the message to your boobs to replenish, so just express off as little as possible to ease the engorged feeling and avoid blocked ducts/mastitis.

if you wanted to try and mix feed you'll get plenty of good advice here, but not trying to say you should!

I gave up last weekend and my boobs are still a little bit sore. I expressed a tiny amount (about an oz off each side) when they got unbearable, but as charitygirl says, too much and your boobs are stimulated to make more.

Expect a couple of days of not wanting anyone near you and then it should ease. Watch out for blocked ducts though - any really sore areas that are bright red get checked out.

I was told to gradually reduce feeds one a day for a week - this was realy easa - hope you find success!
