Dropping the morning feed - how to?

DS is 13 months and I am ready to drop the 2 feeds a day he's got - one when he wakes up, one when he goes to bed. When we dropped the mid am/pm feeds, I just substituted a snack. Do I just greet him in the morning with a cup of milk? (He's never taken a bottle.) I realize this will probably be a bit more traumatic then dropping the other feeds and would appreciate any advice. I really, really am ready to stop feeding....

I dreaded this when I stopped bf my dd at 11 months, but it was suprisingly easy! Just offered her a cup of milk instead which she gulped down and didn't look back.(She also never took a bottle.) I might have just been lucky that the timing was right for her, but you never know, you might be lucky too and your ds might not mind? Fingers crossed!

We did the same with dd at about 13mths and no trauma, she jus went for it. Wished I'd done it before.
