OK...well not completely broken...
I have an avent breat pump and the littlevalve has had a big fat finger put through it.
I can't find the valves anywhere in the shops or online here in the UK and the amazon.com website won't deliver them to the UK
Can anyone donate their old valves to me so that I don't have to buy a new breast pump???
TIA

Have you tried contacting Avent www.consumer.philips.com/consumer/en/gb/consumer/cc/_categoryid_TOPIC_ABOUT_PHILIPS_AVENT_GB_CONSUME R/?

chilledmama · 29/03/2009 18:22

Hi THOM- I have sent an email to the consumer support address for baby stuff but to be honest I'm not holding out much hope seeing as it took me a long time to actually find the relevant email address...maybe it was just me

Probably daft idea....mine had two in the box. Have you checked yours!

(would send you the spare but I lost one...that's why I know the spare is there!)

Habbibu · 29/03/2009 20:05

Would this help?

Habbibu · 29/03/2009 20:07

Also the valves are the same in the manual as the electric pump, so if you could pick up a manual pump on ebay for pennies, you'd get the valve and several other spares.

wuglet · 29/03/2009 20:10

Ah but the valves aren't the same in the manual pump. In the manual pump you get the horrible fiddly little star things that keep breaking suction....which is why I use the manual pump with the electric valve!

(and if my feeble hands can force the star to turn inside out then I think the electric pump would definitely do that to...so probably not compatible?)

wuglet · 29/03/2009 20:10

too.

Habbibu · 29/03/2009 20:12

Oh - well they used to be! Sorry - they will keep messing with these things...

mears · 29/03/2009 20:13

Practice hand expressing without a pump - much faster and no worry about parts needing replaced

wuglet · 29/03/2009 20:15

Errr.... my pumps are all from 2006 Habbibu so they might have upgraded since then

blowninonabreeze · 29/03/2009 20:19

I don't have any spare but I got a replacement from Avent within 24 hours when I phoned them.

try this number 0800 289 064. Mon - Friday 9.30 - 4.00

Habbibu · 29/03/2009 20:30

Oh. Now confused - bought mine in 2007...

chilledmama · 29/03/2009 20:39

Habbibu-yes...i did have a spare...past tense...DH trying to ensure he's not allowed to do washing up again
my friend donated the spider valves to me to try and...surprise surprise they don't fit.I got mine in 2006 too so no idea what avent were doind with their models!!!
blowinonabreeze-thanks for number...will try tomorrow

Thank you all...it seems that Avent spares are hard to come by!! What a money spinner they have going! Weird though that you can buy them in US but not here??

You used to be able to buy spares - I just ordered them online.
