Hi. DS 6 wks on Weds, want to get him used to a bottle as go back to work soon. Have been pumping regularly last couple of weeks & have several bags of 2/3 fl oz milk in freezer. Obviously don't want to waste any of the precious stuff, so was wondering if anyone has any idea of roughly how much of EBM they take at each feed? 3oz looks so little, but don't want to defrost twice that & he takes half that!!
and i realise they're all different, etc, but any of your experiences very welcomed xx

I did this, started off giving 2-3oz then if still hungry topped up with BF untill I found the right amount. Mine was about 4 months though.

I found that the Kellymom website was quite helpful when I was wondering about this too. There's a calculator here to help you work it out roughly how much to give. Obviously it's not precise but it's close enough.

I also stored my milk in smaller amounts (30mls - 40mls) so that I could quickly defrost any additional milk if what I gave DD wasn't quite enough.

Hope this helps!!
