Is my bad diet going to negatively affect dd?

I'm Bfing DD, she's 11 months old. I eat a poor diet. I do eat some fruit and veg and healthy things (though I doubt I get my 5 a day) but I eat SO much sugary rubbish (cakes, chocolate ..)
DD isn't sleeping and I find I am really relying on my sugar rush (though don't have it in the evenings in case it's that stopping her sleeping!)
Will this diet negatively affect her health - does it mean my breastmilk won't be as good? Would I be better off stopping breastfeeding if I'm not going to cut out the junk?
Thank you.

Apparently your diet doesn't affect the quality of your milk so you are best off continuing breastfeeding (if that's what you want to do).

However, if you do stop breastfeeding and don't stop scoffing caked & chocolate you will end up the size of a house

Umm. I don't know about the feeding, but wonder if you would feel better if you did manage to gradually improve your diet? Your sugar fixes may be causing you to crash a bit, and a diet that included more slow-release carbohydrate and fresh fruit/veg might help you deal with the sleeplessness better (and you have my utmost sympathies, btw - it's grim!)

Your milk quality will be fine. Keep feeding as long as you want to carry on, it won't affect your dd.

But you will probably feel better yourself if you eat a more healthy diet. Easier said than done though, i know.

Thanks everyone.
I know I need to stop eating rubbish but I just do not have the willpower at the moment. I will try and have a couple of junk free days a week just to start. I really will make an effort to eat more fruit and veg too.

I know I'll be the size of a house if I stop and keep eating like this!! I am maintaining a healthy weight at the moment and have put it down to the feeding!
I do want to keep feeding, no reason to stop (unless I'm poisoning DD with sugar!)

Junk free days may be tricky. How about getting more fruit in, and just making sure that if you're hungry you eat some first - may take away a bit of the the hunger and make you eat a wee bit less junk after, and gradually increase fruit/veg and decrease junk.

Cold turkey never really works for me!

thanks habbibu. I'll give that a go
