I expressed some milk 2 days ago but it's been in the fridge since and i'm pretty sure I won't need to use it any time soon - can I freeze it? My sister mentioned that if I was going to freeze it I should have done so immediately after I expressed, is she right? TIA

I think the advice is within 24 hours..... make rice pudding and freeze?

You can freeze it for anything up to about a week after expressing I'm sure.

There is information on kellymom about it

It says that it is only bad if it smells or tastes obviously bad, and having taken a sip of some that was definately bad even after it smelling a bit odd, I'd say you definately can't mistake it being off.

and incidentally, I was in hospital recently and DH said that DS refused a bottle of ebm. He had a quick taste of it and said it tasted very odd to him so perhaps DS refused it because of that.
