Should I carry on breastfeeding while on steroids?

So breastfeeding is going well. DD (12 weeks) is happy and growing and is even sleeping really well!

Only thing is I am on steroids and I feel constantly anxious that the drugs aren't good for her.

The dr said that steroids would be fine in the short term but I'm not sure how short term that it (I'm going to be on them for at least another 7 weeks and I don't think that was expected) and internet research backs this up

In anycase, even with medical advice I can't help worrying that I'm taking a risk and formula would be safer for her. What would you do?

ijust - your doctor says it will be ok, the research you have done says it will be ok. Why would you think it's not ok??

Formula has known risks. Your baby is doing well on breastmilk.

No reason to be concerned as far as I can see.

There are very few meds which are risky with bf, in fact.

There is a phoneline run by a pharmacist that gives advice on medication and BF; I can't remember the number but I originally got it from the NCT helpline and found it really helpful.
