Best time to express?

My ds is almost 6 weeks old and I am back at work for a few hours a week in the evening, leaving a bottle of ebm.
I have been expressing at different times of the day so far, depending on when I have a few spare minutes to express. I was wondering if there was a 'best' time of the day to express? Also if I express in the evening will this help my supply as ds really cluster feeds for ages. I am worried I don't have enough milk, so i've been expressing after he's finished feeding the evening in the hope of increasing my supply.
Any advice?
Oh forgot to add his weight seems ok - he put on a kilo in the 4 weeks after his birth, is this alright? I live abroad and don't see a hv!

I was told around 4 am in the morning (to get the most), I forget exactly why though. Erm, not sure if that is helpful.

A kilo in 4 weeks sounds great! I think the average is around 6oz a week (= 170g) so you're doing well.

I find first thing in the morning is the best time to express, while DD is feeding. I'm too exhausted to express in the evening, and find it takes ages to get a decent amount. I'm not an expert, but my understanding is that cluster feeding is very common at that age. It makes you feel as if there isn't enough milk because they're constantly feeding, but the cluster feeding in itself will build up your supply. Anyway, there are others on here, eg tiktok, who know a lot more about this than me, so hopefully they'll be along soon with some more advice.

All the best with it!
