What does your breastmilk taste like?

Don't know if I am weird to have tried it now after 8 months, or not to have tried it before?

But anyway, I had a drop, and yesterday mine tasted like a cross between horchata de chufas and lychee juice. I had to think about it for a long time before I got it but that's perfectly accurate!

So... anybody else?

Mine smells like melted vanilla icecream which is lush but tastes more like watered down sweetened cow's milk. Not quite as cultured as yours

Mine just tasted sweet and a bit watery. Bit non-descript really.

mine tastes exactly like the hot soya milk with a vanilla shot that I used to get from Starbucks instead of a coffee when I was pregnant!

Mine was kind of sweet, it was hard to tell as I am such a wuss and would only try a dap on my finger, not because I was squeamish about it being my own fluid but because I don't like creamy things in general. It was pretty gross!

I've never tasted mine. I thought about it but couldn't bring myself to try it as I hate milk except on cereal.

I love Horchata! Sadly, mine doesn't taste that exotic - more like milk from a cereal bowl, if the cereal was sweet and a bit vanilla-flavoured (in other words, not cereal I'd feed my PFB on! ).

Last time I had a blocked duct I tried a bit to see if it was true that it tastes salty, and indeed it was thick and v salty . (I figured if the dcs were drinking it then I should be prepared to taste!)

I first tried mine in pregnancy and have tasted on goodness knows how many occasions. I even had it in coffee once, which was really nice.

I believe mine used to taste like gin.
