How long does it take for breasts to return to normal size after stopping BF?

Have a mountain of pre-pg bras I am deciding whether or not to keep

mine went back to normal around 6months and i bf untill dd was 13months am bf now with ds 6months and they have done the same but i guess everyone is different i some mums never have

This is a great question - I don't know the answer but am trying to find it too. Need to find some clothes I can wear when I go back to work once DD is c. 6 months (in about 6 weeks time; will finish BF then) and can't work out what is or isn't going to fit around "the bust" as they say.

mine never did, they went from B (pre pg) to DD (bf size), and then back down to C (post bf), where they stayed. Am now BF again after a year's gap, but have only gone up to a D this time...

Oh gawd. Was DD before pg, E during and now an F or even bigger (I am in denial) and I HATE it. My original DDs were more than a handful and I was always trying to disguise them for work - difficult for a DD in fitted jackets but will be impossible for an F.

Don't some women say their assets are deflated post BF?

yes lots do

ilove- since your breasts are mostly fat, the longer you breastfeed, the more you use up, so in theory yes you would lose pointage in the bust department. Mine from 32C to 32A after 5 years and 3 children breastfeeding. (was bloody gutted I can tell you). Now happily back to C (actually a D at the moment as am pregnant), but hoping to stay around a C after as am not planning 3 more babies...

So if I lose the 3 stones I put on when pg my boobs might shrink a bit too?

Good. An extra incentive when the time comes to diet!

Mind you, my boobs have always been DD even when I was 8 1/2 stone as a student (am 5'8") them was the days...

Funny you should ask that. I bought some new bras last summer when I was still bf ds2 - I stopped in about October, and I had thought that my boobs had more or less settled, as I was only bfing once or twice a day, a little bit at that stage. The bras I got in the summer have been fine, but I suddenly noticed this momring that they're all baggy in the cup, so think I may be shrinking (not so's you'd notice from looking at my belly, mind you )
