all DD wants to do is feed im bf her and i haven't given her a dummy yet its all the time so idon't think its a growth spurt and when she falls asleep during a feed i put her down then with in mins she wakes up then the only way to settle her is by feeding. also we hve been bed sharing it is the only way i can feed her and sleep at the same time but am a bit worried about doing this cus i would like her to go down in her crib and when she is older don't want to go through the struggle of getting her to go in her cot. does anyone have any tips or suggestion that may help?

How old is she, because if it's a few weeks this is totally normal and doesn't mean forever and [sympathy], I know it's hard.

sorry forgot 2 mention she is 5 weeks today. on the other hand in the last week she has started smiling and cooing its magic and makes me feel great.

Ds was exactly like this at that age. He'd only sleep on me or dh and I did a lot of mumsnetting during the day with him either feeding or sleeping on my lap, or tv watching with him against my shoulder.

He never really liked his crib tbh, but at around 8 weeks was sleeping in his cot quite happily.

Awwww I melt at the thought of those first smiles. How lovely for you!

Is she your first? Because I found getting some sleep in bed with ds during the day at this age really helped me. You might find trying to feed lying down a help too if she'll drift off this way.

I reckon it is a growth spurt. Mine were the same at about that age. Let her suckle as much as she wants for the next few days and I promise she'll back off when she's built up your milk supply.

normal, sorry! Good luck. It is tough, but you're doing well and it will end.
