6 month old & cup rather than bottle?

Returning to work when DD will be 6 mo.

She generally refuses bottles, but I keep hearing that she should be able to take milk from a cup by this stage. All well and good....

But, what type of cup?? There seem to be hundreds to choose from? What sort would she be able to take because I am completely clueless.

Can anyone advise what type and perhaps recommend one that worked for them?

The local HVs came around and handed out free Tommee Tippee first cups, which i used a lot. ASDA also do good ones with a flip spout.

I think the Tommee Tippee ones are probably the simplest and best to start with though

I started with the tommee tippee first cup, and started to offer it around 4mths, to get my DS used to it.

at first he hardly took a drop, but got better gradually.
by 6mths he was a pro

I tried DD with a variety of cups at about 6 months and the only one she took to was tommee tippee. Also I thought it was better as the stuff pours rather than them having to suck too much, and introducing a bottle only to have to remove it again later seemed silly.

All my friends use tommee tippee as well.

We have just bought her her first doidy cup but so far she mainly pours the drink all over herself...

She's 18mo now BTW and tommee tippee has done us very well

Hmmm.....will be looking out for a tommee tippee then!

Thanks guys
