with ds1 i used an Avent manual breastpump, it was borrowed, so i cant be sure if the squeakiness and stiffness was down to that or that particular make. what do you use and how have you found it. i found bfing very stressful 1st time due to a number of factors and i gave up at 7 weeks. i want to make a real go of it this time so having the right equipment will hopefully help me do this.

avent isis iq duo is fantastic, gets milk out very quick, usually about 5oz in 5-1o mins, I'd spend around 45 minutes getting the same amount with my Medela Swing (which is also very noisy!). It's expensive - around £250 new or you could look at ebay where I got mine for around £70.

I had Avent Isis IQ. Loved it. I was getting 9oz + in 10 mins, but I have recently discovered that I am part Fresian, so not sure if I have the pump to thank or my dairy heritage!
