When to switch to cows milk / quantities for my 1 year old

My 11 month old has cut right down on his milk feeds and takes around 8oz a day. I'm making sure that he has plenty of full fat cheese, yoghurt etc to bolster the calcium intake, does this sound ok?

Also, can someone remind me if I'm ok to switch to full-fat cows milk at the age of 1? ds has a very varied diet and is a good eater

I switched ds2 (13mo) at 12 months. He was losing interest in milk too. I ditched bottles at the same time.

If you are forula feeding I would switch to cows milk. I switched DD about 11 months and she much prefered it, drinks more now than she ever did before and it really helped her bowels as she was very constipated on formula.

cows milk is fine - why not try giving some now if he is not taking much formula - a few weeks early is not going to do any harm. From 1 year the minimum drops to around 350mls (approx 12oz) so dont worry too much about the lack of milk as you can make it up through his food.
