Nuk teat suitable for newborn?

Hello - can anyone tell mw whether the NUK medium hole teats (for wide neck bottles) are suitable for newborns? I would have thought a slow release teat would have been best, but they do not seem to make them? I already have all the NUK bottles/teats from DD1 but cannot remember what we used when she was new born.
Planning to BF, but will need bottles to top up (did last time anyway) and/or give express milk etc.

Yes I saw that. I have left a message on the careline, and hopefully they will call me back. Have got lots of mediums, but thought from memory that a slow release was recommended for v little babies.........

Madigan, Were you well supported with breastfeeding last time? Maybe if you have lots of skin to skin contact with your baby after birth, are helped with attachment and positioning, and feed him/her on demand in hospital then you should make enough milk not to need bottles. Goog luck!

I used medium with my newborn after the MW recommended them. On the website I think it says use Slow with expressed milk and medium with formula but I couln't find any slow and so used medium for expressed milk. DS was fine with it and he was tiny as was a few weeks early.

atandand deliver - I had various problems wih bf last time, but did bf for 13 weeks. The main problem was that my milk did not come in for something like 7 days!!! I had an (elective) c section, and then waited and waited. Obviously baby needed to be fed, so we needed those bottles!!! Eventually when milk did come in, things were ok but I would often run out of milk, leaving baby still hungry and needing a 3 oz top up after feeds. I found this very demoralising .... some days she would not need a top up, other days she would. It was only when I stopped bf and started ff that she slept more than 2-3 hours at a time. By that point I was utterly exhausted, so no wonder I did not have much milk.
On relfection, I did not have much "skin to skin" contact at all .... would that make a real difference?
Also - do not know wheher to expect milk to take ages to come this time round (c section again) - and whether there is anything I could do to improve my supply???
Any advice, very gratefully received. x

I am trying to express early as I had trouble pumping last time..

Has anybody found the small Nuk teats? I (or rather DH) tried my 2 week old with a medium teat with expressed milk and it went everything - poor little baby didn't know what had hit him it all came out so fast. Avent teats for newborn seemed a bit better, but still very fast. On the bright side, we have obviously been put off bottle feeding altogether for the time being, which DS seems perfectly happy with for now.

If someone looks this now (like me hahaha)
-Small hole teats First Choice and regular are available in the nuk.co.uk website

• The small hole is recomended for breast milk and boiled water
• The medium hole is recomended for formula or other
• The large is recomended for babies the can have a faster feedind
