5 week old scratching own face and my breast while bfing

My DD, 5 weeks, scratches at her face and my boobs during bf-ing. Use cradle hold. It rreally hurts and she is all scratched up too. Help!

just pop some scratch mitts or baby socks over her hands, it won't hurt then.

can you put scratch mits on while you're feeding and keep her nails really short?

Some sleepsuits have them in the cuffs......sort of built in!

Yep, cover up those little hands! Pity my ds3 is wise to this trick at just short of 4 months, he's progressed to pinching my bingo wings....Ouch!!!

Socks on hands are great, they stay on better than mitts in my experience.

Sleepsuits with built in cuffs were fab at that stage - got lots of Gap ones cheap on Ebay!

Bad news is, at 15mths my dd is STILL pinching, scratching etc etc OWW!
