Two week old suffering from dreadful wind

Hello, my dd2 is two weeks old and seems to be suffering from dreadful wind, particularly at night. She very rarely burps despite patting on the back etc., and is very uncomfortable and unsettled for hours on end. I have tried Ashton and Parsons powders (no effect) and also Infacol, which does not seem to be doing anything either - although I have only been giving it to her before night feeds as this is when she has the problem - should I be giving it to her before all feeds? Any advice gratefully received

from what i remember you are supposed to give infacol before every feed, but tbh i never found it did anything for my dd.
dd suffered with terrible wind/colic and we took her to a cranial oesteopath(sp?)at about 11 weeks on the hv recomendation. i thought it was all aload of rubbish before we went but it seemed to do the trick for dd and she was much more comfortable afterwards.

i night nannied for a really colicy baby a few months ago - poor mum was at the end of her tether - baby was 2 weeks old and she hadnt had a night of sleep since birth - poor baby was screaming every hour or so

i did some research on the internet and got some colief infant drops see here

you either need to put in formula 30mins before feed

or if BF (as mum was) to

1)express a few tablespoons of breast milk into a small sterilised container

2)add 4 drops of colief

3)give to baby using a sterlised plastic spoon

4)and then feed as normal

we tried infacol and didnt work but colief was a godsend

hth
