I am worried about the size of my boobs and bf when the baby comes .They are huge and last time I bf I was put off by the idea of public bf .

Anyway just had a practice with baby annabell and she kept very still .

Did you take her batteries out? Because you can't do that with real ones...

ComeWhineWithMe · 25/02/2009 11:29

Oh bugger sk are you joking do they at least come with a mute button?

I was terrible at public bf with DS1, with DS2 I got the knack and managed not to completely expose myself (except when I answered the door to the postman with one boob out, oh and when I exposed a breast to a dishy estate agent).
Worry not

LOL at you practising tho

stroppyknickers · 25/02/2009 11:38

sorry. the best i can offer is a ime delay between feeding and weeing, unlike tiny tears who just can't hold anything in her (plastic) stomach. Also, if you lie them down, they don't automatically close their eyes.

ComeWhineWithMe · 25/02/2009 11:43

Well I may have to send a strong email of complaint .It said on the box "just like a real baby" .

I know I shouldn't be bothered what people think but I had a friend who made an awful comment when I was bf my newborn dd and it made me stop that day stupid I know and before I had mumsnet to tell me what a bitch she was .What made it worse was that she had done a bf training course and surestart were going to let her go to peoples homes and advise them about BF it never got off the ground for her anyway .

Baby annabell loved her feed she has been a little star all afternoon and slept quietly in the toybox cot ..

i have to hold breast and feed too.

just use a massive muslin/blanket/shawl/cardi.

you will gain confidence/get better at it as time goes on.

dont let others stop you.

re; annabell, practice makes perfect

I have massive norks too and as yet I have not breastfed in public with DD. She is very wiggly and fussy so trying to juggle a huge boob and squirming child would be a bit tricky. It might even draw a crowd.....might get some money if I put a hat on the floor though.

cornflakegirl · 25/02/2009 17:26

I'm an H cup, and had to hold baby with one hand and breast with the other. I fed unashamedly in public, as discreetly as I could manage, and I didn't get any negative looks or comments. No money in my hat either
