When did your period come back?

I know it can vary immensely but just curious.

I've been bf for 8 months (6 months exclusively) and still no sign of it even though I only bf twice a day at the moment.

6 months for me

ds1, bf till 5mo, them mixed until 8/9mo - around 9mo
ds2, bf until 20m - around 13mo

I didn't get mine back until I stopped altogether with dd1 - she was a year old. My period came back around 6 weeks after her very last feed. Still bf dd2 (8.5mo) so no sign for me yet either.

Not exactly sure - think it was around 9 months

am bfing now 30wks and still no sign!

Sorry, should have added that I fed her until 15/16 months

3 months. Excl bf. Lots at night. Was not amused.

Approximately 6 weeks before I conceived ds2... (nearly a year). I wondered why I had only had one period and then nothing. Then I started to feel sick...

ds2 - don't know, have been on cerazette and happily period-free!

Not until I finished BF at 9 months and I've only had one since then

I reduced to twice a day at 7months. Periods returned just over a year.

About a month after I stopped BFing,
so about 8 months for me

I'm exactly the same as you Shirley, 8 months in with ds2 but down to 2 feeds a day. With ds1 I fed him for 7 months and my periods returned about 2 months after I stopped altogether

I got a period for a day at 10 months and 5 days. Not had anything since.

Am still BFing almost 12mo 2/3 times a day.

4 months. Exclusively bfing every 2hrs day and night. Was robbed.

17.5 months!

Ds1 - returned at 9 months
Ds2 - returned at 4 months, was gutted

er ... i exclusively breastfed (just stopped, actually) and I got mine at five weeks ... and have had one every 28 - 30 days since that first one ... HV/GP all said that it probably wasn't a period. it was .( i know it had been a long time but they seem much heavier and more painful ... or mayhaps I just forgot) typical ... you could set the clocks by me

With DS exactly 4 weeks after the last time I breastfed - around 10 months
With DD about 8 months. Stopped breastfeeding about 10 months.

Flip... DS is now 9 months, I have BF for the last 5months and I still haven't had a period... should I be worried about that?

With dd, who I fed until 10 months but expressed early on, as she was in nursery from 10 weeks, they came back at 6 weeks. With ds, he has just turned 8 mo, and I have just had one. I kind of knew something was happening as I felt a bit crampy for a few days before. No idea if they will be regular now though, and it was nowhere near as bad as I was expecting. Ds still feeds a lot in day (and night for that matter) but I think it has correlated with me stepping up the solids.

No haribo, don't worry. I asked this very question a few weeks ago, and the very next day guess what happened...

4 1/2 months whilst bf exclusivley, I'm with you showofhands, we were robbed!!

DD - about 18 months (stopped bf when she was 2 years)

DS - still bf at 9 months, but periods started at 6 weeks and have been every 4 weeks since .
Have a hunch tis because he's a very efficient feeder, has fed for only 10mins every three hours since birth.

1 year 9 days and a couple of days before 17 months.

Both still bf. My first was exclusively bf for 24 weeks, except for about a litre of formula over a 2 week period in his first month. My second was exclusively bf for 6 calendar months. Both BLW.

With my first, I ovulated within days of cutting out expressing at work 3 days a week (still feeding on demand 4 days a week and 4 plus bfs per 24hrs on work days too).

Second time round she's remained bf on demand. It might have coincided with my first cutting back from 4-5 times a week to 2-3 times a week, but I can't see that having made a huge difference, as dd was still feeding round the clock!

Mine came back a week after the post natal bleeding stopped. So I guess DD was about 7 weeks old? Exclusivly brestfeeding.
