Wonky boobs!

Hey everyone, I am a new mum with an 8 week old. BF has been going really well until the last week when my right boob has suddenly gone out of control! It is much bigger than the left one, and keeps squirting milk, which is a bit .

any advice on how I can calm it down a bit, or even my boobs out gratefully received!

xx

Most women have one boob which is more productive than the other one, but it should start to settle down soon. Have you been feeding off that side more often than the other on average?

I think there may be something you can do with feeding, like single sided feeding on that side for two feeds, then one on the other side and that might help calm things down a bit....hopefully someone more knowledgeable will confirm that

In the meantime, you can use a breast shell to collect any squirting while you are feeding off the other side and save it for later

Can't remember who said it on here, but they said one boob was like dial-up and the other broadband

hi, sorry to jump in on your thread, but have been scanning threads to see if this one was asked already. I have the same problem, one nipple is easier for my DD to feed from (had a pierced nipple for years which gave it a better shape). She now seems to feed much better from that boob and it's left the other one at least a cup size bigger. I have been wondering if I should pump from the smaller one to get it to produce more milk? I sometimes feed her more often from the larger one to empty it more, but I'm worried I'm going to end up with one larger breast.
