HI, I had fish for lunch today, and it seems to have disagreed with me. Being sick etc. Is it ok to bf DS, or should I give him some expressed milk?

fine to bf as long as you dont puke on him?

AnnVan - it is really important to bf your baby...you can't be sure it was the fish that gave you a bug but some other source such as something airborne, and if you don't bf you will have lost the chance to pass on antibodies to the bug.

Breastmilk passes on antibodies, not the pathogens they are created to fight

On a practical note try and rest and have your ds brought to you in bed for feeding if you are feeling rough. Do you have a dp who can bring the baby to you?

I have had a couple of tummy "bugs" whilst bf dd2 and she has caught neither of them, I know that is no guarantee but as tiktok says you will be passing on the antibodies.

and plenty of extra water incase you're a bit dehydrated.
