How long does it take to stop producing milk?

DD is 9 months. We have been down to just one BF per day in the morning for the past 2 months. Today, I stopped altogether. DD didn't even notice!

Anyway, I was just wondering how long on average it takes to stop producing milk?

Don't know about the "average" time it takes, but it took me another 3 years to completely dry up.

Wow! I was thinking it would only be a few days!

I don't think "years" is the average though. Although there are other mnetters that have written in previous posts that it has taken a few years.

I did mention it to my gp, and she said that although it wasn't the norm, it wasn't unheard of. I think it's usually a lot less.

There'll be other posters along who'll say this

Days! If only. Took me 6 months or so. Thought I was going insane. Perhaps you will be luckier!
