please help me deal with sick!

DD is five weeks. She will be sick 10 - 15 times between feeds. I dont think its reflux as she feeds well (ds had silent reflux). If she is sick soon after a feed it doesn't bother her but when she is sick later it seems to hurt (more acid?). I keep her upright after feeds (lying her on her back led to the memorable fountain of vomit incident)but it doesn't help that much. Does any onr have any tips to deal with it (and the resultant mess!)

Keeping her upright is probably the best thing you can do. You might also want to prop up the head end of her cot. Also, if you have time it might help to wind her a bit before a feed and to have lots of breaks when feeding her so she can bring up any wind.

As for the mess, I used to put bibs on my DD which at least meant I could change that when she was sick instead of a whole sopping outfit.

If it is just possetting, all of this should start to get better fairly soon (although my DD could still puke a couple of hours after a feed when she was 5 months old...). Hang in there!

Thanks Mrshappy. I didn't keep any bibs (ds didn't need them) i will invest i think!
