Idiot baby won't drink (anything!). Can you make formula icecream? or EBM milk jelly?

My exasperating bf DD 9m will not drink anything at nursery! She will, however eat icecream (ordinary vanilla), yoghurt, runny food etc and seems not too droopy when I pick her up. Once or twice she has sipped water from a Tommee Tippee beaker. But she is in nursery for a long time (4 long days) and I have vague ill defined worry that she may be missing out on something - like iron or calcium or basic fluid - if she doesn't have some milk sneaked into her. She won't even drink EBM.
I would like someone to tell me that all will be well, that their baby never drank water, formula or cows milk, and gave up bf overnight at 10 months, switching to water in a beaker and fromage frais? Please anyone?!

Gosh, doesn't everyone say "idiot baby" in tones of affectionate exasperation at least once a day?! Or do you all just spend the whole time gazing into your baby's eyes coo-ing "Mummy loves you very much my angel!" How dull.

Dot, my DD was just the same - not in the least interested in water, EBM or formula. In the end I stopped BF, because I felt the CM was getting very stressed about it, and I was struggling with all the night feeds. She now guzzles down bottles of formula like they are going out of fashion. Which reassures me and the CM, but to be honest, I think there was no need really - your DD sounds like she is fine on her eccentric feeding schedule.

PS Doidy cups are excellent because they can see the water inside. DD would always drink from one if she was thirsty (but the CM didn't like them because of the mess - understandably enough).

She's having four milk feeds a day plus water and solids, so she should be fine. If you're managing OK with the 4am feed then I'd wouldn't worry.

Took me ages to work out that CM was childminder and not what we used to talk about on the TTC boards..
