Great news! well done you

Fennel tea is said to be good for supply too and is also easily available and relatively cheap.

hellymelly · 06/02/2009 23:52

Well done and good luck

MamaG · 07/02/2009 09:05

Yay well done dis!

hiya, was pumping last night and this morning. unfortunatly didn't pump in the night because DD slleps throughfrom 11pm until 8am so i don't wake up

I am going to set my alarm for 3.30am tonight to make sure i do.

DD still wont latch though, she gets a grip but just wont suck when she realises its not a bottle.

Very frustrating for us both.

Had reccomended porridge for brekkie, even tho it makes me sick, lol.

nipples are slightly tender from pumping, but am feeling great

Good for you D3, but don't over do the pumping until you can get fully established. If Dd hasn't been suckling, then your nipples wont be very 'seasoned' yet IYSWIM. I expressed gallons with my Ds but with Dd I didn't have great success and my nipples did get sore from 'over trying'. If you get sore nips from over pumping and Dd does decide to suck, you may find you are very sore and that's no fun at all. I really hope you have great results with baby and can continue for however long you would like to.

giantkatestacks · 07/02/2009 13:28

have you got some lansinoh cream you can put on after each pumping session? that will really help.

Caz10 · 07/02/2009 14:01

This was wonderful for boosting my supply!

Caz10 · 07/02/2009 14:02

Good luck by the way!!

Disenchanted3 · 07/02/2009 16:24

Really? its very expensive

I have lansinoh yes, but havent used it yet, ill start from next pump.

It lasts for ages though, and in fact I didn't even finish the bottle as my milk seemed to just need a boost, then my boobs did it all on their own!

suwoo · 08/02/2009 15:41

Ooh Caz, that looks interesting. I've had a breast reduction and haven't BF the 1st two due to anxiety over my supply. I am desperate to feed this one (14 wks pg) and that looks like it might help me. Did it really work? >

Caz10 · 08/02/2009 20:50

REALLY!
Actually I kept on taking it when i really didn't need it anymore, as i was so paranoid about supply, and ended up massively swollen, engorged etc! but it definitely seemed to kick start things.

suwoo · 08/02/2009 22:01

Can I ask why you were worried about your supply?

Caz10 · 09/02/2009 21:55

Not nosey at all! My baby was quite a low birth weight and didn't put on weight very quickly - HVs and GP were giving me all sorts of hassle and bad BF advice - in hindsight I think I just didn't feed her enough in the early days - following their advice of limiting feeds, swaddling to stop crying etc - she was just starving I think! So I became convinced that because I hadn't been feeding her enough my supply was low. I felt a real physical difference with that stuff, boobs were bursting! DD also started to pile on the weight but I think I was just feeding her properly by then

suwoo · 09/02/2009 22:12

I am so getting some- thanks Caz!!!!
