Moving from a bottle to a cup

I want to make the move from a bottle to a cup as smooth as possible (have learnt my lesson with DS1 and 2!).

DD is 18 weeks and is currently taking 5oz(EBM)from a bottle. She isnt Breast-feeding.

How soon can I move her onto a cup. The HV gave me one of those 'teeth care' pack with a basic Tommy Tippee cups (not a non-spill one) Will this be a good start?

I started with a cup for water when I started weaning at 5 1/2 months. At around 9 months I offered 1 feed a day from a lidded cup. I didnt offer it the way I would a bottle though - he had it sitting in his highchair with a snack to go along with it. He took to it so well that the other day feeds got replaced with the cup and by 10 1/2 months he was off bottles and had all milk from a cup. 18 weeks is a bit early but there is no harm in offering a small amount every so often just to get your lo used to it. It is recommended to stop bottles by the age of 1 so you have plenty time left.
