My 8mo is finally getting more interested in solids and is not so interested in his milk now. I offer after every meal but often he'll only suck a few times before coming off and not wanting any more. I think he's be happy with a feed first thing, an afternoon feed and an evening feed. Is this ok?

I guess I'm suspicious because he still feeds once or twice a night (he can wake up a LOT more, but that's a whole other thread...) and I'd like to try and get more into him in the day - but he's just not interested.

I am talking BFing, by the way. Any advice appreciated - thanks!

Hi WibblyPigRocks With my second who has just turned 1, I got him onto a 9oz bottle in the morn and the same again before bed and rapidly cranked up the solids from about 5 months. This was on the advice of my child minder who had 5 kids so I think she may know her onions! He was and still is a hungry boy and constantly amazes me with the amount he eats even now. The milk becomes more of a comfort thing rather than another food source. Good luck, hope he starts sleeping thru really soon.
