DS is 9 wks and bf but today he has been feeding every 1 to 2 hours and i am exhausted. Is this a growth spurt or should i introduce formula as dh has suggested

It is probably a growth spurt - no reason to introduce formula unless you want to! It should calm down in a day or so.

sorry, should also have added my sympathy, days like that are really hard work.

It is exhausting, isn't it? Probably growth spurt (or gearing up for one), or maybe just a very hungry day. They have hungry/not-so-hungry days like we do.

I would continue to demand feed. Take to your bed and feed whilst lying down - at least you can get a little rest that way, even if not sleep.

You may find he will cluster feed especially in the early evening. My DS did up to about 12-14 weeks.

It does get easier. But your DS is still tiny and just needs his milk and probably a bit of comfort, too.

It will definitely get better, I promise!

Probably just a growth spurt.

Around this time babies need to increase supply so they feed often to increase prolactin levels which in turn increases milk production.
