She's now a week old - and I posted earlier about her being a bit sicky.

The sicky thing seems to be getting better but we put her down fairly easily at about 6.30pm after her having about 2/3oz between 5.15ish and the rest just before. At about 8.30/45 every night she seems to sick up enough to really upset her - it comes out of her nose even ! and then wakes her up. We've taken to bringing her downstairs then til her next feed so that she can calm down a bit and carry on sleeping.

It's a bit weird how she really only does this at this time of the day - and she does nap for long spells on her back in the day so presumably if that were the cause then she'd sick up then as well ? Any ideas what might be causing it??

I used some infacol the other day (also used with my ds but he had terrible wind) but I think this just added to the gunk coming up at this sick time rather than helping matters

Hi Herbgarden
Congratulations on your new baby! I don't have any concrete advice but all I would say is just bear in mind how early on you both are - she's only a week old and just getting used to being out in the open...and I know you are already a mummy but the first week goes pretty slowly on a day to day basis? So maybe bear with it, comfort her when she is upset by the sickiness and do your best to make her comfortable? Keeping her with you in the evening might help you keep an eye on her...could she sleep on you or near you so that she doesn't sick up quite so much?
Also i heard that infacol has a cumulative effect - I never managed to get on with it but apparently it works better over time.
Sorry - that's not much help but I hope the next few days calm down a bit for you.

Hi - just a suggestion but if it happens every night perhaps it would be worth changing her routine a little. Sometimes just half an hour change or something different like a bath before going down to sleep can just seem to shift things round a bit??
